I heard something like this

  • ・What is your background?

  • ・ What is your current job?

  • ・ What is important to be active?

  • ・ What are your future goals?

From engineer to data analyst

When I was a student, I longed to create products that are used by many users like Steve Jobs. After graduating from junior high school, I entered a technical college and continued researching devices until graduate school. After graduating, I got a job at a manufacturer, but I gradually became unsatisfied with just "building a well-organized data environment based on the requirement definition." I decided to shift to a data analyst because I wanted to use data for business and move to the side where value is demonstrated. I learned programming when I was a student, so I took on the challenge because I thought I could make use of that experience.

I first learned about GA technologies Co., Ltd. when I participated in a real estate price estimation competition when I was a student. When I won there, Takehiko Hashimoto, who was participating as an instructor, asked me about GA. At that time, I was thinking of getting a job at a manufacturer, so I was just wondering if there was such a company.

However, as I progressed through my job search as a data analyst, I realized that I needed an environment where I could get the feeling that I was driving the business myself, and where my proposals would be accepted. In a large company, it is difficult to get a real sense that each person is running the company.

Also, rather than improving 95% to 96%, I am the type of person who finds it more rewarding to go from 0 to 1 or increase 30 to 100. Even if the amount of money I could spend was not as large as that of a large company, I wanted to be involved in improving the business from a company-wide perspective rather than just one function of a specific product.

Looking at GA technologies Co., Ltd. again from that perspective, I thought that it matched what I was looking for. Real estate was an inexperienced field, but I felt that it is a business that has the potential to make great strides through data analysis.

To grow your business through data analysis

Currently, I am involved in medium-term strategy planning for the RENOSY marketplace business based on data analysis. In addition, I am also in charge of planning to improve the profit of RENOSY Real estate investment services.

We analyze the entire RENOSY marketplace business from a flat point of view and consider which method to choose to achieve a high success rate as a business. In the course of my work, I have many opportunities to communicate with management, and I sometimes make proposals.

I believe that the main engine of RENOSY marketplace business is RENOSY Real estate investment service. As with all businesses, it is very difficult to balance costs and benefits. Even if sales increase at higher costs, if profits decrease, it is putting the cart before the horse. I try to identify the maximum point of profit and work backwards from there to make proposals.

Depending on the measure, who you communicate with within the company can be completely different. Sometimes I give detailed explanations of services to asset planners*, and other times I talk about mid- to long-term budgets to finance and accounting or management. I am conscious of how to communicate in a way that is as easy for them to receive as possible, depending on their level of understanding and position.

*Asset Planner: A position that involves planning and supporting asset formation tailored to each individual customer at RENOSY, the online Real estate investment service operated by our company.

Think for yourself, involve others and move forward

This may not be limited to GA, but I think it's important that your own growth and the company's growth vector match. My job is to think about management issues myself, analyze data, and make proposals. Instead of acting on someone's request, we are required to think for ourselves and get people involved.

Success in business varies depending on the type of job, but it is important to be able to come up with ideas on your own, find problems, and demonstrate the driving force to solve them in any field. If you have that passion, the skills will follow. If you are the type of person who is self-motivated to pursue your ideals, I think you will be able to play an active role in any environment.

After that, it is important to work on business as a person, not as a person. While working at a business company, we cannot accept the perspective of "advice" like an external consultant when making proposals for company strategies. I think it is essential to take a stance of promoting the measures yourself and taking strong responsibility for the content of your proposals.

Acquire the ability to lead the company in a better direction

I think it will become more important for more people to know about the RENOSY marketplace business and recognize Real estate investment as a method of asset building. My immediate goal is to discover that success pattern and establish it as a reproducible mechanism within the company.

In addition to that, we have been able to identify long-term issues in the business structure, so I would like to be able to formulate measures for long-term goals and lead them to solutions. For example, I would like to acquire the ability to realize the image Mr. Higuchi envisions through data analysis, such as what the GA Group should be in 10 years.

There is debate as to whether marketing is an art or a science, but I personally would like to strengthen the "science" part. I want to be able to move the company with a highly reproducible mechanism, not based on sense and intuition. I want to come up with a solution that everyone can see. There are as many ways to reach the goal as there are people, but I would like to continue to choose the one that has a high probability of even 1%.
