Members of our "AISC" will be speaking at a "Data Science Practical Lecture" for high school students and teachers nationwide.
Shiga University, which established Japan's first data science faculty in 2017, will be hosting an online "Data Science Practical Lecture" for high school students and teachers across the country, where members of our Advanced Innovation Strategy Center will be speaking.
Aimed at high school students learning data science for the first time, this course is structured to teach them how to obtain data, the basics of statistics, and the rudiments of analysis. It uses data from topics that are familiar to high school students to think about social issues and explain how to extract useful information from the data.
