Believe in the possibilities of the Internet
I first encountered the Internet when I was in high school, and it had a profound impact on my life. Feeling that "the Internet will come into every industry from now on," he joined CyberAgent as a new graduate. At first I was in charge of media sales for advertising agencies, but in my second year I won an internal new business contest. I established Japan's first in-game advertising subsidiary, and was appointed president at the age of 23. However, he did not produce the desired results and withdrew after less than two years. I returned to the headquarters as a sales manager. After that, I had a lot of interesting jobs and valuable experiences, but I felt irreverently that I needed to take on bigger challenges.
Just at that time, I received an invitation from an acquaintance at Dentsu, saying, "I'm going to focus on the Internet from now on. Would you like to work together?" At that time, I felt that it was fate that coincided with the vague impatience I felt at that time, and changed jobs to Dentsu in 2011. I was assigned to a department called the Communication Design Center (at that time, CDC). CDC is an organization based on the idea of "providing solutions, regardless of method, to all issues faced by companies, organizations, and people." In addition to advertising planning and production, I was involved in a wide range of activities, from launching new businesses, developing new products, developing commercial facilities, events to PR.
“Analog x Technology” is the shape of a next-generation IT company
I first heard about GA when a junior colleague at Dentsu introduced me to the company, saying that it was a real estate and IT company. At the time, I had no interest in Real estate investment, but because of my job I was interested in new businesses, so I decided to hear more about it. The asset planner who was in charge was highly skilled, and the investment itself seemed interesting, so I decided to purchase a property on the spot. After that, as I produced GA's TV commercials as part of Dentsu and had regular contact with them, I began to think that they might be a more amazing company than I had thought.
In my career so far, I have been thinking about the possibility of the Internet as a core industry in the 21st century, or as an infrastructure for all industries. During that time, I sensed a huge opportunity in the field of real estate, which is still untouched by the Internet and technology. Since the advent of smartphones in the late 2000s, the Internet has jumped beyond the boundaries of browsers and has continued to connect with the analog real world. I decided to join GA because I thought that GA, which will continue to push forward with "analog x technology" beyond real estate, is one of the best forms that a next-generation IT company can take.
Increase company value through internal and external communication activities
As Executive Officer CCO (Chief Communication Officer), I oversee all internal and external communication activities for the entire GA Group. Outside the company, corporate branding, PR activities, communication of group and business growth scenarios, sports marketing, etc. Internally, we are implementing information infrastructure such as portal sites and in-house newsletters within the Group, as well as employee engagement measures.
He also serves as the head of CDC, which is the department that carries out these activities, and has formed a team of about 20 people necessary for communication activities, including PR specialists, art directors, designers, movie creators, event producers, and full-stack engineers. doing. Besides managing, I myself am also working hard as a player.
In order to become a growth engine for the entire GA Group from the aspect of communication, my team works with all business divisions and group companies in Japan and overseas to move various projects. Various projects related to the listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers (then, now Growth), which I received immediately after joining the company. Sponsor decision and its dissemination to Kawasaki Frontale. The only DX brand selected by the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, which started in 2020, for three consecutive years among all listed companies. In the short period of a few years since I joined the company, there have been countless impressive projects. Because the company is growing rapidly, I feel the joy of being able to take on new missions one after another.
What all successful people at GA have in common is that they are honest. They also do not compromise on their work and are truly customer-oriented. I think that embodying the "GA VALUES" that the GA Group holds dear is a prerequisite for success.
Bringing together individual strengths to become a top global company
What I have felt since joining the company in July 2018 until today is that GA Group is a company that is constantly experiencing growing pains. Our business has grown at an extraordinary speed, the number of group companies has increased, and our sales are growing steadily. On the other hand, I have never once thought that I had a sufficient system in place. Look to the right or look to the left and you're running out of resources for what you want to do. In other words, the approximately 1,000 employees of the GA Group are trying to figure out what to do, cooperate with each other, and try to make up for the shortfalls through high-speed trial and error.
The future that the GA Group will open up in the future, and its potential, is tremendous. That's why the "individual power" that is being demonstrated now and the "strength of teamwork" that is born when those strong individuals work together. I am convinced that if we can expand our organization further without diluting these two purities, we can reach much higher and farther. Of course, it goes without saying that the world's top company, which we advocate, lies far above that distance.
