I want to help a rapidly growing company
I first learned about GA technologies Co., Ltd. in the fall of 2014. A junior colleague from my previous job at Prudential Life Insurance contacted me and asked me to be a lecturer for asset planner training. Director Higuchi Dai told me, "We aim to be the best company in the world. That's why I thought we should hear from a world-class company, and that's why I asked you," and I was honestly surprised. At the time, GA technologies Co., Ltd. was still a company with around 50 employees, and of course it wasn't listed on the stock exchange. While I thought, "What an incredible thing to say," I was impressed by their straightforward ambition and accepted the role as a lecturer.
Since then, I have occasionally been in contact with the asset planners and management team. I was also contacted when the Fukuoka branch was established in 2019, and I was surprised at how big the company has become in only five years. Not only has it already been listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market (then Mothers), but sales and employee size have also grown rapidly. Furthermore, I learned that the person in charge of the Fukuoka branch at the time was a new graduate who joined the company in 2015, and I thought that the employee growth rate was incomparable to other companies.
I had the opportunity to be a lecturer again in 2020, and was overwhelmed by how much the company's sales and scale had grown. At that time, Higuchi Dai approached me and said, "I want to strengthen the HR department. I'd love for you to help us out." Having seen how quickly the company had grown, I thought this was a mission worth challenging. If there was anything I could do to help, I'd love to do it, so I made an immediate decision.

Building from scratch in the face of headwinds
Currently, I am mainly in charge of recruiting for the RENOSY Marketplace business. RENOSY Marketplace business is an important business that supports our group. My mission is to gather talented people who can further scale up this business.
Real estate investment is generally seen in a negative light. I believe the reason for this is not the product, but the salespeople.
I have been involved with life insurance since 2012, so I have also studied investment real estate, which is the same asset management product. The more I learn about it, the more I realize that it is a product with many benefits, but I have felt that the side that provides it, that is, the sales, is immature. The sales, which should be the most effective way to convey the appeal of the product, are actually canceling out that appeal. I think it is no exaggeration to say that sales are damaging the image of not only the product, but the entire industry.
However, at GA technologies Co., Ltd., we provide consulting and proposals based on data backed by technology such as AI. Also, because we have in-house engineers, we have systems in place to increase productivity that firmly support asset planners from behind the scenes. Furthermore, we have many members who have transferred from large, well-known companies to our company, due to their clear vision and sense of responsibility, such as "I want to change the legacy industry" and "I want to properly convey the true appeal of our products to our customers."
The public thinks that Real estate investment is a business where "the products are not well known, but there are mysterious salesmen." In fact, it is true that there are still companies that make sales that cause trouble to customers. However, GA technologies Co., Ltd. is a company that has gathered people who will not run away or hide, and is seriously trying to bring about change in the real estate industry. To be honest, I think it is rare to find a company in Real estate investment industry that is so sincere in its dealings with customers.
I want to grow my company and change the industry.
Those who can thrive at GA technologies Co., Ltd. are those who are not only concerned with their own growth, but also with the growth of the company, and who are serious about bringing about change in the industry.
Ultimately, all the salespeople I've seen so far have been motivated by their own desire to grow. However, at our company, in addition to that, the desire to help the company grow is also ingrained in each and every member.
In addition, Hakuhodo and Prudential, where I used to work, were both long-established companies with long histories in the industry, and the market was already fully mature. In other words, there were no opportunities to develop the mindset of "Let's change the industry" or "Let's grow the company."
However, the RENOSY Marketplace business is challenging a new field that has only just begun globally: "real estate x technology." The market is obviously not complete, and the main players are still unknown. I don't think you can experience this feeling in other industries. That's why I feel that there is a joy in coming together with asset planners to pursue the same goal.
Both life insurance and securities have a history of over 100 years, and both the products and the markets are socially recognized. On the other hand, real estate as an investment product has a short history, and the real estate tech market has only been booming in recent years.
When SaaS first started to gain attention, Salesforce was the leader in the industry. It must have been difficult for them to communicate the appeal of their product when many people did not understand the term SaaS or the concept it referred to. That is why they were able to acquire high sales skills.
I believe that RENOSY will also become a driving force in real estate tech. I think now is the time to see whether this business will gain widespread acceptance.
Globally, it is becoming increasingly difficult to create services that people are completely unaware of. The act of "introducing a truly attractive product that customers don't know about" is no longer something that can be attempted very often. The product called investment real estate was just a product with poor sales, but the product itself is very attractive. I don't think there are many opportunities for growth as a salesperson.
GA technologies Co., Ltd. has an in-house AI department and a group of engineers. By working with them, I can be fully exposed to technology while still being an asset planner. Given that technology is evolving at an accelerating rate, it is extremely important to accumulate not only knowledge but also practical experience. As time goes on, I believe that whether or not you can understand it intuitively will make a big difference as a business person.
Because things are changing so rapidly, I am given more and more responsibility
Our company is changing rapidly, and we make frequent changes to our organizational structure. Job titles and roles change quite quickly. In other words, this means that there are many mid-career hires who can have a big impact on the organization. In a fully-formed organization, the influence of someone who joins mid-career is limited. But at GA technologies Co., Ltd., the scope of responsibilities you are given increases depending on your performance. You can also take on new initiatives to grow the organization one after another.
Furthermore, our group is not only involved in real estate. We are also expanding our business into the fields of finance and M&A, and are also focusing on expanding overseas. New positions are constantly being created, and because we are in an environment where goals are becoming higher and higher, a culture of mutual praise and friendly competition is deeply rooted in our group. While attending Kwansei Gakuin University, he was a member of the Japanese American football team and won first place in Japan. After graduating, he joined Hakuhodo DY Media Partners. In 2012, he moved to Prudential Life Insurance, where he became sales manager in 2013. He was named best sales manager for two consecutive years at the in-house President's Cup contest in 2015 and 2016. He started his own company in 2018. He is the head coach of the Kyushu University American football team and the head coach of the Dentsu Club Caterpillars. While running a human resources consulting company, he joined GA technologies Co., Ltd. in 2021. After serving as the recruitment manager for RENOSY Marketplace business, he is currently involved in the human resources strategy of RENOSY Marketplace business in the president's office.
