Our subsidiary, ITANDI, Inc., has a mission to "Smooth real estate leasing transactions with technology," and develops and operates a rental brokerage / management business support system and offers a self-contained rental service, OHEYAGO . This time, we surveyed 309 men and women aged 20 to 49 years old living in Tokyo and surrounding areas, who have rented rental housing about the rental service completed by smartphone.
◆ Survey background
From September 2019, Itanji operates OHEYAGO, a self-viewing rental site that allows general users to search for a room, reserve a viewing, and apply for a move-in all on their smartphones.
With the spread of smartphones among a wide range of age groups and the impact of the promotion of electronic rental transactions promoted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the style of "looking for a room" has reached a major turning point. In addition, due to the impact of the new coronavirus, the demand for non-face-to-face services is currently increasing rapidly.
Against this background, we conducted a survey on "rental services that can be completed with a smartphone" and "dissatisfaction with the room search experience".
[Survey result summary]
・ More than 70% of the total people who want to use a non-face-to-face rental service that can be completed with a smartphone
・Movement time and gap time are the top time spent searching for a room or making a reservation for viewing online.
・The most dissatisfied person at the time of preview was “Time adjustment is troublesome”, and the most dissatisfied person at the time of application contract was “Filling in documents is troublesome”.
