The highest percentage of people, over 30%, answered "anxiety/worry" on average nationwide and by region, indicating that one in three people feel anxious. The next most common answer, both nationally and by region, was "I can't imagine/I've never thought about it."

Furthermore, when broken down by prefecture, there was a large gap between Tokyo with the highest number of experienced people at 61.4% and Oita with the lowest at 23.6%.
In response to the question, "When you imagine your life in retirement, what emotion comes to mind the strongest?", there are many people in each prefecture of the Kanto region who have positive feelings about retirement, suggesting a connection with investment experience.

When we asked those who answered "I have never invested but am not interested" "When would you like to start investing?", 21.1% answered "I would like to start sooner."

◆Important points for the "financial gap generation" when investing
We asked "experienced investors" and "never invested but interested" about the points they consider important when investing. Nearly half of the respondents (46.1%) chose "no initial costs/able to start with a small amount," followed by "expectation of stable profits rather than high returns" at 41.7% and "ability to easily start and manage investments digitally using a smartphone or other device" at 36.7%. We found that the financial niche generation is looking for "ease of starting," "stable profits," and "ease of managing digitally" when investing.

Summary
This survey revealed that there are regional differences in the "investment experience and interest" of the financial niche generation. Furthermore, it was found that there is a correlation between investment experience and positive feelings about retirement.
Meanwhile, anxiety and worry are the top emotions regarding retirement in all prefectures. Also, while there are few people in Oita who have experience with "NISA/Tsumitate NISA," the percentage of people who have never tried it but are interested is the highest in the country. From this, it seems that the amount of information related to investment and the practice of preparing for retirement are more prevalent in large metropolitan areas such as the Kanto region.
